What is the Foothills Gala? Much more than a social affair... The sole purpose of this annual event is to raise funds and encourage volunteerism for specially selected local charities in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens Counties, South Carolina. Founded by a small group of community-minded citizens, the Foothills Gala was created to raise funds for, and awareness of local "grassroots" organizations. The charities selected typically do not belong to national federations and receive very little or no funding from outside of the community. The founders' vision for the gala was to bring the three Upstate counties of Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens together in a new and unique partnership. Since 2001 that partnership has raised over $355,000 for local charities. We invite you to join us!!! |
